About Me

With over 40 years of experience in education, both in the classroom and at the district level, I have witnessed firsthand the needs of schools and, most importantly, students. Ensuring that students achieve their full potential is essential for a quality educational system. As a Governing Board member, I will advocate for all students.

As a candidate for the Marana Unified School Board, my mission is to support the continuous pursuit of excellence and innovation within the district. I will work to ensure that every student, regardless of their background, has access to an equitable, high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. My goal is to prepare our students for the future, whether it be direct employment, post-secondary education, or military service.

Additionally, we must maintain fiscal responsibility and utilize resources to best meet the needs of both students and teachers. To achieve this, I will ensure that teachers have the resources necessary to address the diverse needs of all students. I will collaborate with others around a common purpose to accomplish a shared vision for the Marana Unified School District, keeping students at the heart of every decision. Our common goal should be to work together to create schools that are equitable, excellent, and safe, because our students deserve nothing less.
